Required Skills and Experience:
- 100% on-site assistance
- Delivers on-site technical assistance to clients, executing basic installations, repairs, upgrades, and
- maintenance on hardware and equipment. Aids in the evaluation of technical products, systems, and/or software for engineering support.
1. Provides on-site technical assistance to clients, including installation, servicing, and repair of systems and
equipment.
2. Addresses client inquiries and resolves issues. Directs other inquiries to the appropriate
personnel/service area/manager for follow-up, testing, and troubleshooting.
3. Aids in instructing clients on the operation and upkeep of systems/equipment.
4. Serves as a liaison with clients on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
5. Conducts analyses and prepares reports on system problem trends and issues.
6. Assists in applying engineering principles and practices as they relate to system design, process flow, and/or
discrete modeling.
7. Collaborates with the client's engineers, as necessary, to gather information, design changes, requirements, etc., to
compile information for the overall solution design.
8. Aids in translating the engineering design into software design and development of test plans to verify the logic of
new or modified technical programs.
9. Conducts testing of the final product and collaborates with the client's engineers to ensure that the product performs as
intended.
10. Assists in the design of basic technical programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of field support experience
- Familiarity with the company's hardware, software, and equipment products
- Experience with customer technology and support requirements
- Knowledge of process and/or system design concepts
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages, operating systems, and software
- Understanding of engineering principles and practices
Other Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management and organizational capabilities
- Ability to resolve non-complex hardware and equipment issues.
