Job Summary

The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of any additional service needs.
  • Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs and execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician in a dealership or repair shop environment.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, including electrical systems, brakes, and suspension.
  • Fast, eager learner and team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems and technologies.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment and maintain accurate records.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
