Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Provide consultation on complex financial and cost models throughout the lifecycle of major government programs.
  • Present data to leadership through interactive dashboards employing data visualization techniques to facilitate real-time decision-making.
  • Develop, manage, and refine intricate financial and cost models, including Program Office Estimates and Independent Government Cost Estimates.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analyses using programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Analyze budget inputs and spending plans, prepare program briefs and acquisition documentation, perform economic analyses, and engage in various programmatic discussions.
  • Create defensible estimates to assist clients in navigating reviews, approvals, and program planning processes effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in acquisition cost estimating, supporting program offices or defense agencies.
  • Proficiency in developing complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, utilizing advanced formulas.
  • Experience in applying statistical analysis for forecasting and informed decision-making.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Familiarity with government, DoD, or Navy operations.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and programming languages such as Crystal Ball, Tableau, Power BI, Python, or R.
  • Background in operations research, mathematics, and statistics.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as Cost Estimating Certification or PMP Certification.
