Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at El Dorado Springs in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan, and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. Your expertise will also include conducting individual and group psycho-education, leisure activities, and life-skill training and coaching for all patients. Additionally, you will be responsible for safety monitoring of patients and of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough assessments of patient behavior to inform treatment planning
  • Collaborating with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Providing education and support to patients on mental health topics, including coping skills and relapse prevention
  • Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS, CPI certification, and 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting. We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
