About the Job

The Community Corporation of Santa Monica seeks a highly skilled Residential Property Manager to oversee the effective management of our assigned properties. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on ensuring that residents are well served and property issues are addressed in a timely manner.

In this position, you will be responsible for income qualifying applicants for affordable rental housing, processing annual resident income recertification paperwork, and maintaining accurate records. You will also work closely with Community Corp. staff and tenants/residents to resolve any issues that may arise.

We offer a competitive salary of $22.00 per hour, plus benefits including medical insurance, dental and vision insurance, 403b retirement plan, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, mileage reimbursement, unit included, paid utilities, and a sign-on incentive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely collection and delivery of rent
  • Pick up and posting of prepared notices
  • Enforcement of landlord rules and lease provisions
  • Compliance with Fair Housing Laws
  • Preparation and submission of accident reports
  • Maintenance of property records and files
  • Provision of excellent customer service to residents and staff

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and/or relevant work experience
  • At least five years' experience as an onsite resident manager with affordable housing programs
  • Certification to lease properties financed with low-income housing tax credits is preferred

Location

This role is based in Santa Monica and primarily involves travel within the city and surrounding areas. Occasional travel outside the city may be required for training and seminars.
