Job Overview

Spruce Lake Ministries is a Christian organization that offers lodging, meeting spaces, and meals to groups in the Pocono Mountains. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our kitchen team as a Food Service Kitchen Prep Assistant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team with food preparation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and upholding the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation, including salad bar, yogurt bar, and cutting and dicing vegetables.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist in the dish room and dining hall as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must affirm Spruce Lake Ministries' mission, vision, and core values.
  • Must have a teachable spirit, team-player attitude, and servant heart.
  • Must be responsible, industrious, hospitable, and enthusiastic.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Able to perform repetitive motions with arms, wrists, and shoulders.
