Position Overview:
Surgical Technologists play a vital role in delivering both direct and indirect patient care within the realm of Operating Room technology, catering to a diverse patient demographic including Neonates, Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
Available Shifts: Day shift & Evening shift options (8:00am-4:30pm / 10:30am-8:00pm)
Employment Status: Full-time & Contingent Available
Qualifications Required:
Educational Background:
- Completion of an associate degree in Surgical Technology and active certification as a Surgical Technologist OR two (2) years of experience as a surgical technologist with active certification.
Certification Requirements:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory and must be acquired within 6 months of employment if the candidate has recently completed a Surgical Technologist program.
Experience Requirements:
- No prior experience is necessary if actively certified as a Surgical Technologist; if not certified, proof of eligibility to complete the certification exam must be provided, with certification obtained within 6 months of hire.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile setup of instruments, drapes, and sutures according to surgeon preferences while maintaining a sterile environment throughout the operation.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, sutures, and other sterile supplies, anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgeon during the procedure.
- Support the RN with circulating duties, including opening supplies, assisting with patient positioning, obtaining necessary equipment, and preparing the surgical site.
- Conduct counts of sponges, needles, and instruments utilized during surgery at the beginning, before closing, and at the end of the shift to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Assist with the dressing of the surgical site following the completion of the procedure.
