Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Psychiatric Disorders: Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans to address a range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.
  • Document Patient Information: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Prescribe and Monitor Medication: Develop and implement medication plans to support patient recovery and well-being.
  • Provide Supervision and Instruction: Mentor and educate residents on psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders.
Requirements
  • Licensed Physician in Illinois: Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Illinois.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry: Must be board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
  • Experience in Community Health: At least 3 years of experience in community health or with a similar patient population while in training is preferred.
