The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a skilled Patient Registration Representative to join our team. As a Patient Registration Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration processes, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a professional image.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patient schedules daily to ensure accurate registration and admission processes.
- Register patients for inpatient and outpatient services, obtaining necessary demographic and insurance information.
- Collect co-payments or deposits as required, balancing cash drawers at the end of each day.
- Explain facility policies and obtain patient consent for treatment and insurance forms.
- Comply with Medicare/Medicaid and other insurance regulations, completing MSPQ as required.
- Participate in staff training and education to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide coverage in all areas of Admitting, following established guidelines.
- Knowledgeable of administrative policies, department procedures, and required admission and insurance documents.
- High School Graduate
- Clerical, registration, and/or customer service experience within a healthcare setting (preferred)
