Job Summary

OCT Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team. As a Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for handling pre-and post-award contract work in support of contracting officers and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform full life cycle contract management, including contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.
  • Assist the agency contracting office with procurement planning, contract award, and contract closeout.
  • Ensure acquisition plans, synopses, and procurement planning conferences include necessary information for successful contract awards.
  • Prepare and maintain contract files, including pre- and post-business clearances.
  • Provide oral briefs to customers on proposed acquisition cycle award processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between program offices and contracting personnel.
  • Work with program managers to ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and regulations.
  • Support multiple purchasing actions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of federal acquisition experience.
  • B.S. / B.A. Degree required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check for facility access.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplemental regulations.
  • Strong background in acquiring commercial supplies and/or services for the Federal Government.
  • Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in support of the Internal Revenue Service or Department of Treasury is highly desirable.
  • Experience with major contract writing systems is highly desirable.
  • DAWIA /FAC-C and CFCM or CPCM certifications are highly desirable.
