Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at St. Peter's Health. As a Catheterization Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including coronary and peripheral angiography, and electrophysiology studies.
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, dignity, and respect throughout the procedure.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry developments, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a Catheterization Laboratory setting, with a strong background in cardiovascular technology.
  • ARRT or RCIS certification, with a preference for ARRT certification.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a travel or per diem setting, with a strong understanding of the demands and challenges of travel healthcare.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records and other healthcare software systems.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
