Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Carl Buddig and Company. As a Sanitation Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe working environment for our employees and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with food safety and quality assurance standards (GMP, HACCP, FSI, SQF, etc.)
  • Maintain plant cleanliness to prepare plant to pass USDA/SQF and other sanitation audits
  • Sanitize all surfaces of the breakroom ready for the 1st shift teams
  • Clean interior infrastructure of non-production areas
  • Clean office areas, hallways, locker rooms, and break rooms
  • Clean outside grounds as needed
  • Follow all Safety Guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Assist with identification and reporting of safety issues and areas and equipment requiring non-routine attention
  • Clean in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow the master sanitation schedule (MSS)
  • Work to prevent product contamination and adulteration, following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Food Safety
  • Follow proper procedures to prevent equipment damage and to assure the equipment is cleaned properly
  • May operate equipment to maintain clean floors throughout the building and production areas
  • Verify effectiveness of cleaning
  • Attend training as required
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and common areas
Requirements
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds for 30 minutes at a time
  • Must be flexible and able to work as needed
  • Must be willing to work within the two businesses (OW and CBC)
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 – 10 hours per day
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and squat as needed for housekeeping responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week and work mandatory overtime if necessary, including weekends
