Job Title: Utilities Manager

Lactalis American Group is seeking a highly skilled Utilities Manager to join our team in Buffalo, NY.

About the Role

The Utilities Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing energy management strategies to reduce site energy consumption and achieve sustainability goals. This includes setting and achieving energy reduction targets, conducting energy audits, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement energy-saving measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy management plans to achieve site energy reduction targets
  • Conduct energy audits and identify opportunities for energy savings
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement energy-saving measures
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting progress against energy goals
  • Develop and maintain an energy tracking and monitoring system
  • Lead a cross-functional energy team and hold monthly meetings
  • Develop a strategy for energy savings Measurement & Verification
  • Conduct walkthrough audits and reports to identify savings opportunities
  • Review maintenance operational schedules and procedures to identify operational savings opportunities
  • Ensure existing installations and new installations meet code and are of safe design
  • Develop and propose energy and productivity projects
  • Prepare reports to document overall effort and progress against facility energy goals
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy management, sustainability, and facilities operations. They will be able to develop and implement energy management strategies, conduct energy audits, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve energy reduction targets.

The Utilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility's utilities systems, including energy, water, and waste management. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing energy-saving measures to reduce the facility's energy consumption and achieve sustainability goals.

The Utilities Manager will work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure that energy-saving measures are implemented effectively and that the facility's energy consumption is reduced.

The Utilities Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and reporting progress against energy goals. They will develop and maintain an energy tracking and monitoring system to track energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.

The Utilities Manager will lead a cross-functional energy team and hold monthly meetings to discuss energy-saving initiatives and progress towards energy reduction targets.

The Utilities Manager will also be responsible for developing a strategy for energy savings Measurement & Verification and conducting walkthrough audits and reports to identify savings opportunities.

The Utilities Manager will review maintenance operational schedules and procedures to identify operational savings opportunities and develop a preventative maintenance plan to reduce energy consumption.

The Utilities Manager will ensure that existing installations and new installations meet code and are of safe design. They will also develop and propose energy and productivity projects to reduce energy consumption and improve facility operations.

The Utilities Manager will prepare reports to document overall effort and progress against facility energy goals and ensure that the facility is in compliance with regulations.
