Job Overview

The Sales Director will oversee all sales efforts for the Residential division at AVB. This includes managing and supporting the New Home Consultants to achieve sales goals and developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, and best practices for the sales team.
  • Monitor and continuously improve metrics focused on revenue, sales velocity, and closing ratios.
  • Manage the contractual process and establish good working relationships with lenders, realtors, and other business-related organizations.
  • Inspect and evaluate communities, models, and speculative homes to ensure they meet AVB's standards.
  • Establish departmental objectives, goals, and budgets annually and conduct operations within guidelines.
  • Support New Home Consultants with meeting their sales goals, problem-solving, and training/growth.
  • Maintain high-level product knowledge of AVB floor plans, available home sites, features, pricing, and communities.
Requirements
  • Experience or education in residential design, architecture, construction, or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Proven sales leadership experience is required.
  • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Experience with social networking and navigation of websites is a plus.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow through on tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in, or the ability to become proficient in, GKAR Multiple Listing Program and AVB specifications program.
Work Environment

The Sales Director will work in a fast-paced environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This position requires construction site walk-throughs, which may include navigating uneven terrain and unfinished homes.
