Job Summary

Sourcerers Staffing & Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to a group of normal-to-high risk infants, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose neonatal patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical exams, evaluations, and specialized procedures such as umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, and peripheral central venous catheterization.
  • Order and interpret lab tests, radiographs, and routine diagnostics, including routine Newborn Screening, head ultrasounds, and ophthalmic retinal exams.
  • Prescribe phototherapy, antimicrobial therapy, and enteral/parenteral nutrition and supplements as needed.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for assigned infants.
  • Develop, implement, review, and revise standards, procedures, and protocols for neonatal care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide educational programs for staff to support quality improvement activities and maintain current knowledge and skills in neonatal care.
  • Participate in Perinatal Quality Management Program and serve as a clinical resource to staff, identifying learning needs and implementing formal and informal educational programs.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in neonatal care.
  • Masters degree in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii).
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
