Sourcerers Staffing & Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to a group of normal-to-high risk infants, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose neonatal patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including physical exams, evaluations, and specialized procedures such as umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, and peripheral central venous catheterization.
- Order and interpret lab tests, radiographs, and routine diagnostics, including routine Newborn Screening, head ultrasounds, and ophthalmic retinal exams.
- Prescribe phototherapy, antimicrobial therapy, and enteral/parenteral nutrition and supplements as needed.
- Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and implement treatment plans for assigned infants.
- Develop, implement, review, and revise standards, procedures, and protocols for neonatal care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide educational programs for staff to support quality improvement activities and maintain current knowledge and skills in neonatal care.
- Participate in Perinatal Quality Management Program and serve as a clinical resource to staff, identifying learning needs and implementing formal and informal educational programs.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in neonatal care.
- Masters degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii) required at hire.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License (Hawaii).
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate.
