The Instructional Leadership Coach plays a vital role within the consultancy team at assigned schools. This position collaborates closely with school leadership to pinpoint improvement priorities, observe classroom instruction, and provide constructive feedback. The coach facilitates professional development, demonstrates effective teaching strategies, and offers one-on-one and small group coaching to educators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the school principal and leadership team.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluate educational programs.
- Design and implement professional development opportunities tailored to school needs, incorporating best practices.
- Support Title I schools in developing comprehensive School Improvement Plans.
- Ensure compliance with ESEA (Elementary & Secondary Education Act) requirements through internal audits.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining professional learning communities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Guide teacher teams in analyzing data from common formative assessments.
- Help in creating and implementing a school-wide intervention framework based on assessment results.
- Facilitate the development of a guaranteed and viable curriculum by prioritizing and unpacking standards.
- Compile and organize information for reports and evaluations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Current teachers must provide proof of a level 3, 4, or 5 evaluation; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Active Tennessee teaching license with appropriate endorsements is required; Administrator Licensure is preferred.
- Strong understanding of No Child Left Behind laws and regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of effective instructional principles and curriculum development.
- Ability to assess and evaluate student performance effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster cooperative relationships within the school community.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent organizational abilities.
Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, education, and credentials. A comprehensive benefits package is also available.
