Key ResponsibilitiesAs a PRN Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering hospice care and nursing services to patients who are recovering, managing chronic illnesses, or nearing the end of life. The RN employs the nursing process to ensure high-quality care is provided in a compassionate, ethical, and professional manner, leading to enhanced patient satisfaction and positive health outcomes.
- Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring the confidentiality of all HIPAA-protected health information.
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established treatment plans and develop care plans based on comprehensive patient assessments.
- Continuously evaluate and update care plans and assessments in response to changes in patient conditions and environmental factors.
- Communicate significant changes in patient status to the appropriate healthcare team members and attending physicians, as necessary, while coordinating services with various disciplines and community resources.
- Manage patient cases by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, providing both physical and emotional support to patients and their families, and mentoring junior team members.
- Administer, instruct, supervise, and coordinate nursing care for patients and their caregivers under the guidance of supervisory personnel.
- Exhibit sensitivity to the diverse needs, customs, and emotions of patients and their families.
- Serve as a clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and the organization, offering educational support to patients and their families.
- Participate in case discussions, documentation reviews, and in-service training sessions.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required documentation.
Current RN License in the state of practice.
A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; two years in hospital, hospice, or homecare nursing preferred.
Current CPR/BLS Certification is mandatory.
Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
