We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Marriott International Inc. As a Banquet Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and functions, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with chefs, stewards, and other team members to ensure seamless event execution
- Manage event logistics, including setup, service, and breakdown
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing
- Inspect event spaces and equipment to ensure they meet our high standards
- Provide exceptional service to guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure that all menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; related work experience preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and results
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and excellence
