Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Defensive Cyber Operations team, you will be responsible for conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security evaluations to identify and mitigate potential threats to our customers' systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and weaknesses in customer systems and networks.
  • Develop and implement effective countermeasures to mitigate identified security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies to ensure our customers' systems and networks remain secure.
  • Develop and deliver technical reports and briefings to senior leadership and customers on security findings and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) certifications.
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Baseline Certification.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, their uses, and potential misuses.
  • Programming experience in one or more languages, including HTML/CSS and SQL.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Perl.
Desired Qualifications
  • Offensive Security OSCP certification.
  • Army Certified Penetration Tester (or Instructor) certification.
  • DoD 8570 IAT III (CISSP, CASP, CISA, GCED, GCIH) certification.
  • Fluency in one or more programming languages.
  • In-depth understanding of physical penetration testing or PACS.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce written deliverables and brief senior leadership.
  • Self-starter with excellent judgment and capable of independent decision making.
