Position Overview:
The Counseling and Health Services department is seeking a dedicated Medical Office Associate. This role is essential in delivering patient-focused support services to facilitate the efficient functioning of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage patient check-ins and confirm enrollment status.
2. Review and update medical records and appointment details.
3. Input data into the electronic medical record system.
4. Educate new patients on clinic procedures and protocols.
5. Coordinate patient escorts to examination and treatment areas.
6. Ensure accuracy in charge tickets and provide information on policies and services.
7. Address routine inquiries from patients, families, and staff.
8. Safeguard sensitive patient information and manage appointment scheduling.
9. Monitor departmental communications and manage immunization records compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting, including direct patient interaction and record management.
- Completion of an accredited medical secretarial or paramedical program is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with standard office practices and procedures.
- Understanding of state immunization requirements for diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
