Job Summary:

The Financial Clearance Representative will be responsible for ensuring the financial clearance process is completed for patients undergoing mental health and addiction treatment at Fairview Health Services. This includes verifying insurance eligibility, collecting and recording necessary information, and ensuring proper billing and payment procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients
  • Collect and record necessary information for financial clearance
  • Ensure proper billing and payment procedures are followed
  • Work with patients, families, and healthcare providers to resolve financial issues
  • Initiate and manage prior authorization requests and appeals

Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in revenue cycle, insurance verification, or financial securing
  • Or, two years of experience in revenue cycle, insurance verification, or financial securing with an Associate degree in a healthcare-related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior authorization experience
  • Previous experience with Epic software
  • One year of experience in a mental health setting
