The Accountant V will perform financial analysis and assist in budget preparation, as well as assist the tax manager with tax reporting, research, planning, and compliance functions at the federal, state, and local jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Running the monthly unbilled revenue report, analyzing and recording appropriate journal entries.
  • Computing estimated monthly workers' compensation, liability, and cargo insurance expense, including making worker's compensation payments.
  • Reviewing and analyzing portions of financial statements.
  • Computing and entering various journal entries into Epicor and verifying balance on balance sheet accounts with the general ledger.
  • Assisting with tax reporting, including creation and assembly of information required for filing or amending annual federal and multi-state income/franchise tax returns.
  • Representing the company in federal or state income/franchise and sales/use tax audits.

Additionally, the Accountant V will provide backup support for other general ledger accountants, work with senior management on various requests and special projects, and assist with quarterly estimated tax calculations and filing of those ACH payments and deferred and current tax provisions per G.A.A.P.
