About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our team at Redwood Software. As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in the creation, maintenance, and debugging of our enterprise file transfer software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of our enterprise file transfer software
  • Work closely with our DevOps, infrastructure, and development teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Design, develop, and test software components using Java
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both application performance and cloud infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of Java software development experience
  • Expertise in Java concurrency, multi-threading, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with socket programming and understanding of various file transfer protocols (such as FTP/SFTP, SCP, HTTP) and SSL/TLS
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end MFT flows, including analyzing packets using Wireshark
  • Good understanding of EDI protocols, including AS2 and OFTP2
  • Strong knowledge of Java security best practices, including secure coding, authentication, and authorization
  • Experience with version control software such as Git
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write clean, well-designed, and documented code
