Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Test Center Operations Manager at StateJobsNY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of civil service examinations at various test sites throughout the school districts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all examination guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate facility use and plan rooms according to candidate count.
- Provide assistance to test site staff and candidates.
- Assist candidates with logging into and completing computer-based exams, if necessary.
- Utilize software to virtually proctor candidates in a remote setting, if necessary.
- Assist in training monitoring staff in the use of remote proctoring software.
- Maintain contact with Civil Service Test Administration staff before and after the administration of examinations.
- Receive, distribute, and return test material in a secure manner.
- Travel will be required throughout the school districts.
Requirements
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and perform basic computer functions.
- Ability to read, communicate effectively with others, and speak confidently in front of large groups of people.
- Ability to work with a diverse population in a calm and courteous manner under stressful conditions.
Additional Information
Candidates will be required to work at testing sites at all locations. Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify identity.
