Job Title: Firefighter

Join the City of Leesburg, FL team as a Firefighter and be part of a dynamic and dedicated team of emergency responders. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical assistance, and conducting fire safety inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance as needed
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and identify potential hazards
  • Operate complex machinery and equipment, including fire trucks and rescue vehicles
  • Work effectively in a team environment and communicate with diverse groups of people
  • Make quick decisions in emergency situations and follow standard operating procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State of Florida driver's license
  • State of Florida Firefighter II certification
  • EMT certification (optional)
  • Paramedic certification (optional)
