Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
  • Provide medical care and treatment to patients, including basic life support and advanced life support procedures.
  • Conduct fire prevention and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Operate complex machinery and equipment, including fire trucks and rescue vehicles.
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure effective response to emergencies.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid State of Florida driver's license required.
  • State of Florida Firefighter II certification required.
  • EMT certification required.
  • Paramedic certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a physical fitness test and annual respirator certification.
  • Ability to work a 24-hour shift and maintain complete response readiness at all times.
