Loudoun County Government is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Firefighter/EMTs. As a Firefighter/EMT, you will be responsible for providing skilled emergency and non-emergency related services, including fire suppression, basic and advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care, hazardous materials incident response, technical rescue operations, life safety, and public education program delivery.

• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical care and transportation to patients
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles
• Participate in fire prevention and education programs
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and ambulance services
• Maintain equipment and vehicles, and perform routine maintenance tasks

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a valid driver's license
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED
• Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and climbing
• Pass a background check and a medical examination

• Virginia Intermediate or National Registry Paramedic certification
• Loudoun County Volunteer Fire and Rescue experience
• Military experience
