Role Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will leverage their accounting expertise to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. This role involves managing the monthly and year-end close processes and reviewing the work performed by the shared services team, including Olam Global Business Solutions (OGBS). The Senior Accountant will also conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all reporting deadlines and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliation of sub-ledgers and general ledgers to guarantee precise financial reporting.
  • Assist in the purchasing and sales review processes to verify the accuracy and completeness of recorded transactions.
  • Provide financial expertise to enhance business process controls.
  • Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and records in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Support internal and external audit processes and respond to information requests.
  • Coordinate corporate reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements, investigating variances to budget and forecast for P&L, Working Capital, and Fixed Capital.
  • Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions performed by the shared services team.
  • Coordinate tax filings with the tax department.
  • Manage additional general accounting responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of accounting or finance experience is required.
  • Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment is essential.
  • Must be able to collaborate with a diverse team across various geographies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes is necessary.
