SSM Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Patient Monitoring Center (PMC), you will be responsible for ensuring continuous monitoring of cardiac rhythms, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Run ECG strips at time of admission, every 4 hours, and with any rhythm change.
- Measure and interpret PR, QRS, and QT intervals accurately.
- Sign and date each strip with first initial, full last name, and position.
- Notify appropriate staff for any changes in baseline rhythm or potentially lethal rhythms.
- Ensure alarms are on at all times and set at appropriate limits.
- Run continuous strips for sustained VT, V-fib, asystole, and bradycardia less than 40 per minute.
- Maintain telemetry logs, patient information, and transmitter/SPO2 inventory.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required, but a strong understanding of cardiac rhythms and monitoring is essential.
