As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for executing a diverse range of standard and advanced imaging techniques. Your role will involve providing assistance to fellow imaging professionals as necessary. You may be required to operate in various settings and must possess the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance, engage in quality assurance, and address issues related to image processing and archiving systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed expectations as a Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Conduct a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including complex ones, while employing appropriate techniques and providing clear procedural instructions to patients.
  • Assess patients for clinical contrast history and identify any potential contraindications.
  • Follow established protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage effectively with patients and healthcare providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to rotate among departments and clinics for adequate coverage.
  • Assist Radiologists or other medical professionals during invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, utilizing equipment to accurately identify anatomical locations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms, ensuring they are well-stocked prior to procedures and compliant with infection control standards.
  • Ensure accurate coding and entry of all charges.
  • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
  • Perform all duties while safeguarding patient confidentiality and refraining from disclosing any confidential information unless necessary for job performance.

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent approved institution.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is mandatory (Temporary permit required for new graduates).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Compensation: BASED ON EXPERIENCE $26-$32
