Event Manager

The Event Manager is a key member of the Bloedel Reserve team, responsible for the overall success of events and exhibitions. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of events and exhibitions, including planning, communication, execution, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and produce events, including internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage event logistics, including facilities, scheduling, refreshments, and technical requirements.
  • Oversee internal and external communications for events, working closely with the Communications Manager to plan and execute event-related communications.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful event production.
  • Manage event-related contracts and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Establish and manage event budgets in collaboration with the Community Engagement Director and stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-event evaluation processes to gather feedback and improve future events.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as project planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and interact positively with others.
