Agricultural Equipment Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with agricultural equipment, including engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Operate, maintain, and repair custom harvest equipment in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment, including lubrication, oil changes, and other tasks.
  • Monitor field conditions and communicate issues to management.
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical problems, such as belt slippage, flat tires, and electrical failures.
  • Identify potential problems and react accordingly.
  • Maintain and repair facilities used for maintenance and storage of harvesting equipment.
  • Work closely with Custom Harvest and Field Supervisors to permit timely harvest of high-quality product.
  • Perform basic fabrications as needed.
  • Supervise Field crew as needed.
  • Adhere to common safety practices and procedures.
  • Responsible for following all Company Policies and Procedures, as well as any Local, State and/or Federal Regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Qualifications: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, equivalent (GED), or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle physical exertion.
  • Must be willing to travel as harvest deems necessary.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Possess a valid driver's license.
