Solar Panel Installation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Panel Installation Specialist to join our team at Freedom Forever. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on various surfaces. Your daily activities will include measuring, cutting, drilling, working from height, minor electrical work, and assisting with structural upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading Company vehicle with project materials
  • Loading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed on
  • Assembling all roof components in an efficient and safe manner
  • Performing electrical work as instructed by the crew lead, both independently and under direct supervision
  • Installing projects adhering to Freedom Forever plan sets
  • Flashing penetrations as needed to ensure project quality
  • Providing onsite guidance and recommendations to Installer I's
  • Ensuring all work is performed in strict compliance with Freedom Forever policies, applicable codes (Ex: NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24, etc)
  • Strictly following all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policies
  • Following all direction given by senior members of the crew
  • Providing recommendations for efficiency and compliance gains through appropriate channels
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Position may be required to communicate directly with the end user(s)
  • Some domestic travel may be required
  • May be required to drive a Freedom Forever vehicle
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 6 months to 1 year of PV installation experience (Preferred)

  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
  • Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired
  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
  • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side
  • Lift 50+ pounds
