Job Overview

As a Renewable Energy Outreach Specialist at California Energy Builders, you will play a crucial role in promoting the adoption of clean, renewable energy. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with qualified homeowners, educating them about the benefits of solar energy and informing them about available discount programs that can make the transition to solar more affordable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities to connect with qualified homeowners through various channels, including door-to-door canvassing, community events, and online platforms.
  • Inform homeowners about the benefits of solar energy and how it can reduce their energy costs and environmental footprint.
  • Explain the details of renewable energy discount programs and incentives that can help homeowners save on their solar installations.
  • Schedule and conduct in-home consultations to assess homeowners' energy needs and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Identify and generate new leads through various outreach strategies and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from consultation to installation.
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow up with homeowners to address any questions or concerns they may have.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with homeowners.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or outreach is preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of solar energy systems and renewable energy programs is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is required for conducting in-home consultations and outreach activities.
