Fiscal Support Analyst Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Support Analyst to join our team at the Arkansas Department of Health. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of fiscal-related tasks, including researching financial data, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other fiscal reporting mechanisms
  • Provide technical assistance to colleagues on fiscal-related matters
  • Post transactions to journals and ledgers, balance entries, and reconcile errors
  • Perform various accounting duties, including budgeting and fiscal closing
  • Produce monthly production reports, statistical reports, and other regularly scheduled reports

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in general business, business management, or a related field
  • Three years of experience in fiscal operations
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, database management, and software applications
  • Ability to comprehend and assimilate technical and business-related documents
  • Ability to apply policies and procedures and other applicable regulations
