Role Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Plant General Manager, your responsibilities will include supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team engaged in the setup, installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery and equipment. You will be tasked with ensuring optimal utilization of plant resources and overseeing the quality of work performed in a diverse technical environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for training staff on procedures and safety protocols while managing daily operations and maintenance schedules.

Key Duties Include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of maintenance personnel
  • Leading teams in the assembly, disassembly, and installation of industrial machinery
  • Managing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance tasks
  • Assisting in diagnosing equipment malfunctions
  • Analyzing production schedules to estimate labor requirements
  • Interpreting technical specifications and assigning tasks accordingly
  • Collaborating with other supervisors to align departmental activities
  • Proactively addressing equipment maintenance and care
  • Overseeing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Ensuring adherence to safety practices within the department

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Analyzing and resolving operational challenges
  • Coaching team members to enhance performance and skills
  • Fostering a positive work environment across departments

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensuring high-quality standards in all maintenance work
  • Recommending improvements in production methods and equipment performance
  • Encouraging continuous improvement initiatives among team members

Vendor Management:

  • Overseeing vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Managing the storeroom and procurement of necessary supplies
  • Researching and executing capital expenditure projects

Qualifications:

  • Technical training with a minimum of 1-3 years of apprenticeship or a 2-year degree
  • Experience in industrial electrical systems, mechanical systems, and maintenance practices
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing maintenance environment
  • Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
