The preferred candidate will possess 10-20 years of expertise in cost estimation, particularly in Water, Sewer, Storm Drain, and Underground Construction sectors.

Proficiency in HCSS estimating software is essential.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate a robust background in estimation and project oversight, showcasing a history of precision and meticulousness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee cost estimates for Private Works initiatives, encompassing water, sewer, storm drain, and underground construction projects.
  • Analyze and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and bidding documents.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Perform site evaluations and inspections to collect data and assess project needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including project management, engineering, and operational staff.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimation, specifically in Water, Sewer, Storm Drain, and Underground Construction.
  • HCSS estimating software experience is mandatory.
  • Previous employment with a contracting firm is required.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with Public Works projects.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard estimation methodologies and practices.
  • Certification in HCSS Estimating Software.
  • Experience with alternative estimating software, such as PlanGrid or Bluebeam.
