Cedar Recovery, LLC is an ASAM Level I outpatient treatment center that utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to deliver a comprehensive model of care, integrating medical, counseling, and therapeutic interventions tailored to meet each patient's unique requirements and foster long-term recovery from substance use disorders.
While Cedar Recovery addresses all forms of substance use disorders, it primarily concentrates on the treatment of opioid use disorder through medications such as Buprenorphine and/or Naltrexone (MAT).
Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Support Specialist, you will oversee various patient administrative functions, including but not limited to:
- Welcoming patients, assisting with check-in processes, managing phone inquiries, conducting new patient intakes, and scheduling appointments for new patients.
- Coordinating and managing care documentation on behalf of patients.
- Processing and tracking Prior Authorizations, including maintaining a tracking spreadsheet.
- Ensuring proficient management of scheduling systems for appointments, including modifications and cancellations.
- Providing support to the Office Coordinator and Medical Assistant.
- Reporting directly to the Office Coordinator.
Required Competencies:
- Effective Knowledge: Proficient in navigating and utilizing Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and our Electronic Medical Records system.
- Accountability and Self-Management: Takes personal responsibility for work tasks and operates independently without daily supervision, managing multiple projects that align with Cedar Recovery's standards.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Collaborates effectively with colleagues to advance Cedar Recovery's mission in addressing the opioid crisis.
- Communication: Engages in effective communication with employees at all organizational levels through various channels, including face-to-face interactions and digital communication. Maintains respectful communication with patients, team members, vendors, and pharmacy representatives.
- Innovation & Problem Solving: Proposes, enhances, and implements quality improvement initiatives that contribute to Cedar Recovery's mission, applying creative thinking to develop innovative solutions.
Job Type:
Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.), Friday (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Salary:
Starting at $19.50 per hour
