Senior Nursing Care Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Maplewood Senior Living in Danbury, CT. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Job Summary:The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, performing direct care and services to residents, teaching and wellness counseling, health promotion, and participation in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer:We provide a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as flexible shifts, paid training & uniforms, growth opportunities, bonus & incentive programs, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, company-paid time-off, life insurance policy, insurance deductibles, and voluntary Aflac insurance for full-time employees.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Provide direct care and services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Teach and wellness counseling to promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
- Support residents and families through effective communication and empathy
- Oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants
- Training of associates and auditing of care
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the CT state
- Two years full-time or full-time equivalent clinical experience
- Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
- Prior dementia and psych experience strongly preferred but not mandatory
- Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members
