About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at NorthPoint Development. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our commercial and industrial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair all aspects of commercial and industrial real estate, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, fire sprinkler systems, building controls, doors, windows, caulking, and other property issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems, including reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on physical structures, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, and electrical systems.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors as needed to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to and complete service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, work-in-progress, and other relevant information.
  • Schedule and perform minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis.
  • Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition.
  • Identify and document all utility meter cut-offs, fixture cut-offs, sewer cleanouts, and prepare maps indicating same.
  • Perform work area clean-up and safety-related duties.
  • Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by Property Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Commercial building maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
  • EPA 608 certification.
  • Tools and transportation.
  • Demonstration of strong technical competence and commercial awareness.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and hands-on individual with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail and great organizational skills.
  • Able to approach problems both logically and creatively.
  • Demonstrate a confident and positive approach when interacting with all team members and visitors.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
