Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with school leadership and faculty to develop and implement a comprehensive coaching strategy aimed at improving mathematics instruction.
- Facilitate professional development sessions for educators, providing practical support through collaborative lesson planning, co-teaching, and targeted observations.
- Showcase proven mathematics teaching techniques and intervention strategies to educators.
- Offer ongoing mentorship and coaching to teaching staff.
- Assist educators in leveraging data to customize mathematics instruction and identify students with learning differences.
- Continuously assess K-5 students' mathematical progress through benchmark evaluations and suggest instructional modifications based on individual and collective data trends.
- Serve as a dedicated mathematics coach specifically for elementary education.
- Work alongside teachers to promote the use of effective instructional resources, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Collaborate with educators to create rigorous tasks, lessons, and assessments aligned with mathematics standards, analyze student performance, and provide constructive feedback for instructional improvement.
- Support teachers in utilizing formative assessments to identify misconceptions and recognize students needing additional assistance.
- Assist in administering assessments focused on numeracy and fractional reasoning for designated grade levels.
- Encourage and coordinate family and community engagement in mathematics education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to further enhance mathematics expertise.
- Utilize assessment data across all tiers of mathematics instruction to improve student performance.
- Lead professional development initiatives aimed at addressing student learning gaps, fostering engagement, and reflecting on teaching methodologies.
- Document job responsibilities and interactions with teachers using an electronic platform.
- Support educators in integrating concepts of computer science and computational thinking into mathematics instruction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Special Education.
- Master's degree or completion of recommended professional development in Elementary Mathematics.
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience in early childhood, elementary, or special education settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in mathematics instruction and intervention strategies, including early numeracy and support for students with dyscalculia.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to professional responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of mathematical content and learning theories.
