Join SpaceX's Team of Innovators

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of technology to enable human life on Mars. As a Senior Mixed Signal Design Engineer, you'll play a critical role in architecting, designing, and producing high-performance mixed signal electronics for our launch vehicles and spacecraft.

The team designs a wide range of avionics, from RADARs and GPS receivers to sensor aggregators, video encoders, and highly integrated flight computers. We're not just building electronics - we're building the future of space exploration.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design space-hardened mixed signal electronics that support the functions of our launch vehicles and spacecraft.
  • Develop and implement mixed-signal circuit boards from concept through production using operational amplifiers, filters, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, power supply components, multi-GHz Serdes, DRAM interfaces, I2C, Ethernet, SPI, FPGAs, ASICs, and processors.
  • Design and implement linear and non-linear circuits using phased-locked loops, vector modulators/demodulators, oscillators, mixers, filters, multipliers, synthesizers, low-noise and/or power amplifiers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and testing of electronics systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or similar technical degree.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal design principles.
  • Strong understanding of digital communication systems, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques, and modulation types such as QPSK and QAM.
  • Experience characterizing radio performance in microwave frequencies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
What We Offer:
  • A dynamic and fast-paced work environment that's pushing the boundaries of space technology.
  • Opportunities to work on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of space exploration.
  • A collaborative and innovative team that's passionate about advancing the commercial space industry.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.

At SpaceX, we're committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds.
