About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at SerKy Consulting, LLC.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on modern, low-mileage diesel equipment, including Volvos and Freightliners with Cummins, Volvo, and Detroit engines.
  • Provide bumper-to-bumper service and repair to tractors, trailers, and Toyota forklifts.
  • Use computer diagnostics and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting, tire maintenance, minor transmission repair, brake, and air conditioning system repair.
Expectations
  • Ability to train on dayshift until processes and computers are learned.
  • Occasional extra work on a weekend day, but primary shift will be weekdays and night shifts.
Requirements
  • Mechanic Qualifications B-Level.
  • Perform all items in C level plus diagnose, repair, or replace external components, major components, and exhibit torch and welder knowledge.
  • Exhibit diagnostic knowledge, advanced TMT/TINA knowledge, and troubleshooting and repair electrical problems.
  • Ability to perform trailer axle alignment, wheel end, PSI system, and ABS diagnosis and repair.
  • Troubleshoot and repair air systems, brake certified, A/C certified.
  • Must be 18 years of age, have a valid Driver's License, and meet certain driving record requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate: Lawrenceville, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work

Experience: Automotive repair: 1 year, Automotive diagnostics: 1 year, Mechanic experience: 1 year, Diesel engine repair: 1 year, Brake repair: 1 year
