About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading small teams in the evaluation of precision strike and/or air combat system effectiveness using an assortment of mission-level analysis tools. Your goal will be to discover useful data, inform conclusions, and support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead small teams in the evaluation of precision strike and/or air combat system effectiveness using mission-level analysis tools.
  • Provide technical thought leadership and task management to ensure high-quality, insightful, and timely analysis.
  • Support the development of detailed task execution plans, describing task objectives, technical approach, schedule, products, staffing requirements, and other required resources.
  • Communicate with sponsors to provide technical recommendations and direction, as well as develop and integrate analytical capabilities.
  • Have opportunities to engage in independent research projects that encourage creative solutions and reward initiative.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Math, Computer Science, or Engineering, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated excellence in performing and leading mission-level modeling, simulation & analysis.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: air vehicle survivability analysis, electronic warfare analysis, simulation development, planning concept of operations, and end-to-end kill-chain analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment and communicate sophisticated ideas directly with government civilians, military officers, and other contractors.
  • Skilled in conducting quantitative analysis, rapidly learning new and exciting concepts.
  • Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain Top Secret level clearance.
