Modeling and Simulation Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Expert to support our Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center's (NEC) Team at Fort Meade, MD.
The NEC serves as the hub for NC3 Enterprise operations, systems engineering, and enterprise architecture, and as the technical authority for NC3 within the Department of Defense.
As a Modeling and Simulation Expert, you will work closely with our customer and stakeholders to achieve success in defining, designing, implementing, and testing the current architecture and projected architectures as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Employing system modeling language to graphically display system functions and requirements in system models.
- Supporting engineering documentation, requirements analysis, requirements generation, and system design.
- Assessing the NLCC/NC3 architecture using computer simulations and models to evaluate how well communications work in a benign and stressed nuclear environment.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an educational equivalent with 4-8 years of prior relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience providing dedicated support to modeling and simulation functions or operations.
- Aptitude to simulate architecture and functions using the most effective techniques.
Preferred qualifications include prior background working with senior Nuclear C3 community stakeholders and ability to develop solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
