Job Summary

The Campus Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and grounds. This includes maintaining buildings, managing maintenance staff, and overseeing contracted services. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to our mission and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair buildings and grounds
  • Manage maintenance staff and contracted services
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations
  • Procure and manage facility-related contracts
  • Plan and prioritize work tasks, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks
  • Inspect work performed by maintenance staff and contractors
  • Track and log inventory of school resources
  • Coordinate safety meetings and trainings
  • Organize and oversee inspections of facilities
  • Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and security of all facilities
  • Manage the school's work order request system
  • Manage campus key system and utilities infrastructure
  • Oversee contracted services such as security and cleaning
  • Maintain and manage the grounds during weather emergencies
  • Coordinate setup for school events
  • Oversee communication infrastructure
  • Manage space utilization
  • Supervise and support maintenance and cleaning personnel
  • Maintain stock of paper products and PPE
  • Monitor furniture condition and needs
  • Conduct on-going performance evaluations of campus operations team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of maintenance experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Exemplify initiative and creative problem solving
  • Previous experience in marketing or sales is a plus
  • A strong interest in boarding education
Working Conditions

The work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as classrooms, dorms, offices, meeting and training rooms, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
