We are seeking a highly skilled HAMR DOE Characterization Engineer to join our team at Western Digital. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for characterizing HAMR technology and providing timely and accurate feedback for improving HAMR performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Characterize HAMR technology and provide feedback to improve performance and reliability
- Interface with wafer process, design, test development, backend process, and DOE teams to close the DOE learning cycle
- Develop and implement innovative test procedures to tackle HAMR-related challenges
- Analyze large data sets to extract key learning information
- Collaborate with wafer, design, and backend teams to carry out DOE evaluation smoothly
- PhD + 3 years or MS + 5 years experience in EE, Physics, or related field
- Experience in HAMR technology is preferred
- Proficient in analysis of large data sets
