About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team at Snowline Hospice of El Dorado. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide care to our hospice patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  • Calm and soothe patients and families experiencing strong emotions, providing empathy and support.
  • Participate in a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to each patient.
  • Address personal care needs and promote patients' comfort and well-being.
  • Collaborate on cases, attend interdisciplinary meetings, and participate in training and development activities.
  • Assist with observing patients and documenting care.
Requirements
  • Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) issued by the State Department of Public Health preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certificate issued by the State Department of Public Health required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • One year of aide experience required, with one year of hospice experience preferred.
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License, access to a reliable automobile, and minimum car insurance coverage.
  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently use a computer, with prior electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
  • Open to occasional flexible scheduling to work evenings or weekends.
  • Reliable transportation and comfort traveling throughout the service area.
