Position Overview:

Senior Application Analyst

Under the guidance of the Applications Manager, the Senior Application Analyst is responsible for mastering the intricacies of assigned applications, ensuring a thorough understanding of departmental workflows related to system configuration, upgrades, and releases. This role serves as the primary support contact for the application, coordinating issue resolution and possessing a deep knowledge of organizational policies and operations. Responsibilities include conducting workflow analysis, collecting data, and addressing software-related issues. The Senior Application Analyst acts as a bridge between technical teams, end users, and third-party vendors, providing training and troubleshooting support.

Specialization:

As a Senior Application Analyst specializing in Epic Tapestry Claims, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of healthcare claims via the Epic Systems Tapestry application. Your responsibilities will include:

• Configuring Epic to streamline claims processing and manage AP claim file loads.
• Overseeing AP Claims workqueues, claim codes, and secondary payment methods.
• Testing retro-adjudication processes to automatically reprocess claims affected by changes.
• Managing Accounts Payable for claims, capitation, electronic funds transfer, and bank reconciliation.
• Supporting workflows to ensure accurate recoupment or refund processes.

This position involves collaboration with various business units, health plans, clearinghouses, and audit teams to address errors and reconciliation activities, as well as providing support for new health plan implementations. The Senior Application Analyst will monitor plan performance, troubleshoot file issues, and ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.

  • Collaborates with IT and vendor teams to maintain application systems.
  • Communicates regularly with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develops a deep understanding of operational workflows through engagement with end-users.
  • Identifies opportunities for system optimization and process enhancement.
  • Ensures user issues and configuration requests are addressed promptly.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with end-users and team members.
  • Responds to end-user needs in accordance with established service level agreements.
  • Participates in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and updates.
  • May lead small projects with moderate complexity.
  • Proactively seeks feedback and fosters a collaborative team environment.
  • Engages in knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
Required Experience and Skills:

Senior Application Analyst

Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in Epic Tapestry Claims configuration and workflow management.
Professional Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of application systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • In-depth expertise in own discipline with basic knowledge of related areas.
  • Ability to understand workflows and provide thoughtful recommendations.

Education and Certifications:

Senior Application Analyst

Education:
  • Master's Degree preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience.
Certifications:
  • Epic Tapestry Claims Certification required; certifications in other Epic modules preferred.
Salary:

$110,000 - $150,000.00 US Annual
