Overview

Dignity Health is a leading healthcare provider in the Sierra foothills region. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR Leadership team in delivering operational HR activities within the facility and/or service area. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing human resources support in employee and labor relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training, and other HR activities.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be a front-line member of the Human Resources team, responsible for supporting the HR Leadership team on the full range of operational HR activities. This includes providing human resources expertise in employee and labor relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training, and other HR activities. The incumbent will also support specific groups, functions, and/or geographies, and embed themselves within the business to work closely with management and employees. Additionally, the incumbent will be instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives, assisting with employee engagement activities, and advising leaders on and ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures, and practices.

Qualifications

The incumbent must have 3 years of HR experience, in an HR Generalist, Consulting, or Business Partner role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, are also required. Working knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws, FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA, and Affirmative Action Programs is necessary. Preferred qualifications include 2 years of focus on an HR specialty area, a graduate degree in an applicable field, and PHR certification.
